I made this wreath for my husband for Father's Day. I did not take photos while I was making it, so I'll try my best to describe how you can make your own wreath for someone special.
You need the following:
1) Straw wreath
2) Old dress shirt and tie
3) Wooden letters & paint
4) hot glue gun and/or T-pins
Paint the wooden letters as desired. Allow to dry
From shirt, cut off the arms at the seams.
Keep intact the collar & button placket.
Cut the remaining shirt in 3" strips.
Wrap the straw wreath with the shirt strips.
Hot glue or pin the shirt collar & placket onto the wreath.
Hot glue or pin the tie onto the wreath, slightly gathering up the tie so it doesn't hang too long off wreath.
If you are using the pocket, wrap lower edge of pocket around wreath & glue in place. Place pen inside pocket.
Glue wooden letters onto the wreath.
Hang wreath from an over-the-door wreath hanger.
Always be your creative self!
